Privacy policy

This explains what Fred keeps about you, why, and what you can do about it. Fred is run by Chavivi Eaton ("we"), who is responsible for your information.
What we keep
- Your email address, so you can sign in.
- Your plan and whether it's paid up. Card payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
- How you use Fred: how many charts you've read, when you last signed in, and the trades you save to your practice log.
- If you joined through a coach's link, which coach it was, so we can pay them.
Your screenshots
When you upload a chart, it's sent to our AI provider (Anthropic) to be read and the result comes back to you. Fred doesn't store your screenshots.
Why we use it
To run your account and your plan (our contract with you), to stop abuse and keep the service working (our legitimate interest), and to meet legal duties such as keeping payment records. We don't sell your information and we don't use it for advertising.
Who helps us run Fred
- Cloudflare: hosts the website and the database.
- Anthropic: reads your screenshots.
- Resend: sends your sign-in emails.
- Stripe: takes payments.
- Twelve Data: live market prices (no personal information is shared).
Some of these companies are in the USA. They protect your information with the safeguards UK law requires.
Cookies
Fred uses one cookie, to keep you signed in. Your practice log is saved in your own browser. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, so there's no cookie banner.
How long we keep it
Until you delete your account. Sign-in links expire after 30 minutes. Sign-ins last 60 days. Payment records are kept for as long as the law requires (usually 6 years). When you delete your account, the trades you saved stay in Fred's scorecard, with nothing linking them to you.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or delete your account at any time from your Account page. To ask anything else, contact hello@fredcandle.com. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
